Die Bekannten da drüben von kakoii haben ein Problem mit einem Kunden: 1000 Entwürfe für den Kunden Noiseblocker und dann wird nix abgenommen mit der Begründung, die Arbeit sei nicht professionell – was nur noch fehlt ist, dass Noiseblocker die Entwürfe, vielleicht in Details abgeändert, einfach benutzt: Zu oft habe ich das in unserer Agentur selber erlebt. Darum finde ich es mutig, dass kakoii das jetzt mal öffentlich macht: Lieber Stefan, poste doch bitte noch die ganzen anderen Packungs-Entwürfe: wenn wir die dann bald irgendwo sehen sollten wissen wir wenigstens woher die stammen…

Blackberry Stuff
So just got my Blackberry 8800 enterprise and got everything to work. Email Syncing from my Pop3 is easy – you will have to set up an blackberry internet mail account and enter your private account data there. For T-Mobile in germany this is e.g. here. Of course iSync won’t work out of the box (mac osx) but there’s a free piece of software from blackberry, which syncs everything like a charme. Findeable here (important: RESTART YOUR MACHINE AFTER INSTALLATION 😉 ). What is really blowing me away is google maps with GPS support for the blackberry – this is really unbelievable. But first you will have to change your TCP IP settiings in options -> more options -> TCP – the things you have to put in there, you’ll find here . Btw: these settings are cruical, in order to get all your applications with internet connections set up. though the device only has a GPRS connection, the data comes in very fast. All in all, I’m just missing a camera – but the 8800 is really cool.

If you need to organise a quick Telco, but haven’t got the apprpitae infratstructure, you may use Deutsche Telekom’s Small Business Telco Service – a quick’n’dirty way of setting up telcos of up to 20 participants. Quite cheap from the german festnetz.

Even the german weekly magazine Die Zeit writes about twitter – until now I could resist, but they say: „If you’ve tried it you’ll become addicted…“ Mh, not quite sure if I can afford that at the moment… but…. you’ll find my twitter profile here 😉
UPDATE 1: Oh no! Now this ugly little twitter flash applet has made it to my blog – any suggestions how to get rid of it???

Vodafone EasyBox (OSX) rocks!
Working with my black MacBook always made me a bit jealous of these cool guys, hacking in their Thinkpad on the train, using MobileConnect Cards – now I’ve just bought the Vodafone EasyBox, and it’s a real cool thing, to be able to be online everywhere. The setup was a breeze (in contrast to my colleagues Samsung Notebook), and the connection is stable even at 300 Km/H between Cologne and Frankfurt.
Update 1: Oh, and what I find really cool is, that pictures are dynamically scrambled down in size – this is absolut ok, because it reduces the overall file size.
Update 2: No, though I was a consultant to Vodafone, and they are our customers, this is no hidden advertising 😉

Want to become your own mobile provider? Sonopia enables you (at least in the US). You can setup your account online and serve as a mobile provider – in fact sonopia connects you to verizon. But I can imagine this as a quite nice customer-service like FC Bayern Mobile, Werder Bremen Plus…
