Now, this is really cool: gnump3d  is an open source streaming server. It automatically detects all the media on your disk, and serves it as mp3-stream on Port 8888 . Since I´ve got a flatrate, I like to have all my music on my linux box at home, serving it for me, so that I can listen to it everywhere I have a internet connection. The quality is brilliant: you even can select between different playlists, or make your own. When you give user/pass to your friend, they are able to listen to your music. (This all somehow reminds me of last.fm 😉

It somehow is spreading through the community, that streaming (mobile) musicclips  will be a  great thing. We are working on this   for quite a long time – as we are delivering our content on Flash – Basis, we currently have the problem, that "Flash-Lite 1.1" is of a Flash-4 Player niveau, and not capable of all our streaming features. We instantly hope that Macromedia will soon upgrade the Lite Version.

What a cool and astouning site: 10×10 gives you a view on the latest news of the 100 most imtortant news sources. And even from a designer´s point of view, they have done a great job. There are 100 photos taken from the sources article, and they are used as a menu.

Of course there had to be some conspiracy theories after the election, and have to say, that I´m quite fascinated of this

If you use Apple Mail as your standard Mail-App here is a useful tool, to show you widget-like notifications on your screen when you´ve got new mail- Very nice and cool.

I´ve just tested camino , a new product of mozilla. And this browser is SUPERFAST!!! Even Flash movies are played much faster and with higher performance than Safari does. Just test it and tell me your opinion. Camino has replaced the safari-icon in my dock.

UPDATE: camino really is superfast – but downloading still makes some problems – but: it´s only BETA. They will do better, I`m sure. 😉 (For now SAFARI gets another chance in my dock)

This is a very good read of Fred´s VC blog, and its all about Internet TV, or better the future of TV. Is it streaming? Is it PC-Based TV´s? It´s hot for me, because our product motionet just fits into the technology hole Fred is describing. From my point of view it definitely is streaming TV over IP, because you would be able to make new kinds of movies, interactive ones, where advertisement is a key factor right from the first idea for a new film, and you won´t have licensing problems – I mean you are (we are) able to encrypt the stream, so that it is hard to save and copy it for the normal user, which is a main problem in download-based movie concepts.
