The project my company gojou.com has worked on the last months, was for the photographer S. Jagenburg from Berlin. His project „you.andme“ is one of a very special kind, and plays with the relationship of cars and their owners. The challenge was to combine total usabillity for the users and — the admin. That is why we created a fully dynamical-generated flash site. The admin is able to use a small CMS to manage his pictures and sets, to manage his navigation, to manage all kind of contents (and even use different text-styles, adding colour to them, etc.). Further on a special focus laid on the design: the requirement was to underline the expression of the pictures, and create a comfortable atmosphere. China and its internet – it still is kind of black-hole. So it is interesting to follow the blog of the „China Herald“ which gives you a view behind the scenes of censorship. In this context this article describes the role of Google in this difficult market: is it good or evil to cooperate with the chinese government? Do they? Don´t they?

What are your experiences? In my opinion a classical letter still has a special experience for the recipient: He can feel the paper it is printed on, can see various typos, etc. Because of all the different email-and text-encoding systems you have to use a very simple textstyle in your emails. At the moment I have to do a lot of acquisition for my company, and I´m sending many emails to the different companies. I wonder if I would send a well designed letter to them, I would be more efficient. What do you think…

Folks, being back from Portugal (yes, you´ll get all the pictures) I`m wondering how I could have lived without any media for the whole time. And knwo what: it was fine. So, I´m happy to see that all our friends from Google are doing fine, too. It´ll be an exciting week for them – let´s see, how the pricing of the first shares will be.

Well, maybe my headline´s not quite right – because: „it´s always the same“ isn´t true for me, ´cause I can´t really remember the last time I went on holidays for more than some days. But now we´re going to portugal, nearly three weeks from the first until the 20 th of July – and that´s the point: we booked the flights in december, so from that day on I knew, that I have to organize everything, to have peaceful holidays – but: the last days were just terrible: wirting my blog – even reading the blogs of my dearest friends was nearly impossible. Organize your employees, organize a cat-sitterin, organize the car-rental in portugal, buy clothes, something against the flies, against the sun, against sicknes…ugh—it seems as if you have to build a whole new life. I remember times, when I just went into my car, heading off for italy, having a nice time for five weeks – without stress. It´s because I´m getting older? Having more to care for? I guess so, and know what? I´m looking forward to this special feeling: checking in in the airport on thursday eveneing, and knowing – you can´t change anymore. It´s done, now it´s just time to retire. So friends, have a nice time – I will so! 😉 bye
